During this unpredictable time, WOW – WE CARE CHARITY continues to seek out opportunities to support our communities and the industries with which WOW Logistics does business. We were made aware of a pertinent initiative led by Dairy West – an organization representing dairy farm families in Idaho and Utah who promotes the industry and products locally, nationally, and globally.
Dairy West is rolling out an initiative called Curds + Kindness that prevents milk dumping, which is a harsh reality for most dairy farmers. Instead, the milk is processed into products that can be distributed through the feeding system to clients in need. In coordination with Utah & Idaho food banks, Dairy West helps distribute these much-needed dairy products to existing feeding sites across the region.
WOW – WE CARE CHARITY donated $500 to Curds + Kindness, which will process enough milk to produce 400lbs of cheese.
